StoryWalks is an initia- tive created by the Kel- logg-Hubbard Library in Vermont. The basic prem- ise is that pages of chil- dren's books are attached to areas along popular walking trails. This is meant to foster a sense of connectivity, and encour- age people to get fresh air while learning. OPL has chosen Bronte Village Heritage Water- front Park, Tannery and Waterworks Parks and George Savage Park as the settings for these walks. "OPL StoryWalks books will feature both di- verse characters and mul- ti-languages," OPL CEO Tara Wong said in a press release. "We will continue to highlight books that are either written by diverse authors (and) illustrators or feature diverse charac- ters to reflect the Oakville community." OPL partners with the Golden Horseshoe Hub and the Oakville Commu- nity Foundation to deliver StoryWalks.
