- A photograph of the synod of the Presbyterian Church in Canada in October 1905 in Sydney, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. This picture features St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church on Pitt Street. The first time this was held it was in Cape Breton. Two hundred ministers and elders were present at this gathering, including ministers from New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia. There were graduates from the five Presbyterian colleges in Canada. Individuals in the photograph include Reverend Robert Blackwood Layton (1879-1973), Reverend Jacob Layton (1840-1931, father of R.B. Layton), Reverend Norman McQueen, Reverend Allan Pollock (1829-1918), and Principal Falconer.
