Postcard to Rev. R.B. Layton, San Fernando, Trinidad, B.W.I., mailed by 25-year-old Agnes Mary Kitchen from Oxford, England.
Notes
Magdalen College, beside the River Cherwell, was founded in 1458 by William of Waynflete, Bishop of Winchester. The large, square Magdalen Tower is a famous Oxford landmark, and there is a tradition since the days of King Henry VII that the college choir sings from the top of it at 6 a.m. on May Morning.

Oxford, Aug. 1/10
We like Oxford very much. Walked this morning almost steadily for 3 1/2 hrs. I was tired and sick of Colleges. We go to Leamington to-night and to-morrow to Warwick, Kenilworth & Stratford. On Wed. H & I go to Scotland & the school marms to their lectures at York.
