Hello, I attended John Wilson Public School from 1961-1969. I remember quite well, as a little girl being.....deathly afraid of Principal Hopkins. Was told that he strapped students whom ran in the hallways. One day, I did run in the hallways and was stopped. Terrified and crying, Mr. Hopkins was very kind to me and gave me a warning, with....a warm smile and sent me on my way. Was.....NEVER afraid of him again! Remember Constable Hooks too. Sincerely, C.
