Shell Canada Limited announced yesterday that it will be closing the Oakville Research Centre before the end of the year. Shell research activities carried out at the Oakville Research Centre will be consolidated with research at the Calgary Research Centre. The decision to close the Oakville facility was made fol- lowing a strategic review of the company's research and technolo- gy requirements for the future, stated the release.
