OAKVILLEâ€" OTMH Hosts 5th Annual Wellness Fair You‘re Invited Wellness Fair Exhibitors The members of the OTMH Wellness Committee cordially invite gou to attend the 5th Annual Wellness Fair on Thursday, September 9th. The Fair will be held in the Conference Room located in the old High School beside the Hospital between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Parking will be available in the High School parking lot. The theme for this year‘s fair is ‘"Help Yourself and Help Others". In recognition of the International Year of the Family, many of the exhibitors will be profiling services that are available to serve the needs of families. Over 20 participating organizations will share information about their services and their role within the community. Exhibitors such as the Halton Regional Health Department, Oakville Parent Child Centre, Women‘s Information and Support Centre of Halton and the Halton Healthy Lifestyles Coalition are sure to make this one of the best fairs yet. The activities of the OTMH Wellness Committee, Educational Services Department and Occupational Health Degartment will all be displayed. Information about the new Asthma Education Centre, which opened in August to serve the educational needs of individuâ€" als affected by asthma, will also be available. OTMH staff will be on hand throughout the Fair to answer any quesâ€" ; tions you may have about the services 8 o 0 q offered at the Hospital. Babies Isabella (5lbs. 2 ozs.), Alexander (5lbs. loz.), and Marcus Anthony (5lbs. 60zs.) were welcomed into the world at OTMH on Wednesday, [ September 14th by obstetrician Dr. Erni Gallanter, family physician Dr. Mary _ (@ Manno and paediatrician Dr. Elizabeth * Gallanter. The parents are thrilled with the amval of their new "family". Having been confined to bed rest for a period of time prior to the birth of the babies Mrs. 5 DeCotiis had the opportunity to become quite familiar with the staff and services of OTMH and speaks hl,,h y of the care she and her family received. "I really enjoyed my stay at OTMH", said Mrs. DeCotiis on discharge. "The OTMH Maternity Department become my second home during this pregnancy... the nurses were fantastic, it was such a positive atmosphere and everyone was so helpful." The staff were equally thrilled with the experience. "this is not an everyday occurrence", said Stelma Josephs, Nurse Manager for Obstetrics. "The nursing staff and physicians exemplified what teamwork is all about". The DeCotiis family went home on September 21st... when we last checked in with them, they were all napping! Congratulations again to everyone for helping to make a miracle happen.
