I mean really â€" it‘s marvelous. But it‘s all in a day‘s work for local interior decorator, Maureen Crane, it seems. Last year, when Crane decorated the Winger house on Reynold‘s Street for the St. Andrew‘s Church "House Tour" (fundraiser), she hung this whole edible art thing (aka Christmas wreathe) on the front door and, lo and behold, her creation was featured in the Dec. 1st Canadian Living Magazine. It couldn‘t have happened to a nicer person. and Emma is a sociology student at the University of Windsor. Her husband, Kenneth, is in the computer business and her dog, Maggie, of Scottish descent, barks with an accent. This season, the energetic Crane has decoratâ€" ed yet another home; this time, for the Appleby College "House Tour" (fundraiser). It‘s her sevâ€" enth, over the years. House Tours, it seems, are popular annual are always looking for unique and exciting ways to spruce up their decor. Local designers don‘t like to let their public down. "We want people to come into each house on the tour and say ‘Wow!‘ the diminutive Crane pointed out. "So, we can‘t afford to be too subâ€" tle. Simple elegance is not the general rule here. The more exuberant the better," she said. Adding with a mischievous smile, "Our motto for this event is â€" when in doubt â€" overdo it!" It is clear she loves her job and enjoys this annual opportunity to display her talent and proâ€" vide a community service â€" in one fell swoop. It‘s always a popular event, declared the decâ€" orator. "We have enough beautiful homes in Oakville to offer house tours for a good many more years â€" without ever repeating the same ones." sh collection ED PUNKRIS Sales Representative BIG ON SERVICE 338â€"6550 24 Hour Pager SUNDAY, DECEMBER 18, 1994 28 Pages 75 Cents (GST included) Special to the Beaver alton Region won‘t press Hahead with a study on L regionâ€"operated trash colâ€" lection until it gets a formal response from Milton.
