He doesn't care what I weigh, but he's there for me. If I come to the Y, he comes too." Barbara set up an appointment with Wellness Coach Nestor Granados, and has not looked back since. "With Nestor's help, although I still have diabetes, I was able to gradually drop my meds completely and my blood sugars are now normal. So far I have lost 65 pounds and it feels great. I can't say enough about Nestor. He has so much knowledge. He makes you want to come to the Y." It was the first time that Barbara had been a member of a fitness club, and she found it intimidating at first, but her husband helped her to get used to it. Her program includes cardiovascular training and `lots of weights' in the Y's Wellness Centre. Barbara commented on how she feels now: "I feel like a million bucks. I have always been really active, but now I can do it without Tylenol. I just didn't feel great before."
