Survived by her sister Margaret Ross (Elliott) of Riverview, N.B., Shirley Krug (John) of Oakville, Ontario, Brother in Law Percy Richards, Murray Harbour P.E.I. Sisters in Law Fran Cook, Oakville, ON. and Mary E. Cook of Charlottetown P.E.I. Predeceased by her sisters Mary Cook, Willena Millar (Lloyd), Jemima Richards (Percy), Christine Cooper (Robert) and brothers Frank and John E. Cook. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews. Visitation was held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) on Tuesday March 20, 2007 from 7-9pm. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 11:30am on Wednesday March 21, 2007 at Trinity United Church, 1250 McCraney Street, East, Oakville, Ontario. After a lengthy illness, he passed away with dignity and courage with his family at his side. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Merebeth Knox, his loving parents, Joan and Bill Downey of St. Catharines, his loving brother Greg (Barbara) of Oakville, and loving sister Su of France, devoted mother-in-law Betty Lou Knox of Mississauga, loving sister-in-law Susan Knox (Peter Leenaars) of Mississauga and brother-in-law John Knox (Mary McConkey) of Atlanta. Blake was a favorite uncle of Matthew, Brittany, Scott, Jamie Lee, Christina, Joanna, Robert and Molly. Always a gentleman, Blake exemplified the values of honesty, integrity, duty, loyalty and most of all love of family. The family wishes to thank the caring staff of St. Catharines General Hospital, ICU for their kindness, compassion and support.
