After a lengthy illness, he passed away with dignity and courage with his family at his side. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Merebeth Knox, his loving parents, Joan and Bill Downey of St. Catharines, his loving brother Greg (Barbara) of Oakville, and loving sister Su of France, devoted mother-in-law Betty Lou Knox of Mississauga, loving sister-in-law Susan Knox (Peter Leenaars) of Mississauga and brother-in-law John Knox (Mary McConkey) of Atlanta. Blake was a favorite uncle of Matthew, Brittany, Scott, Jamie Lee, Christina, Joanna, Robert and Molly. Always a gentleman, Blake exemplified the values of honesty, integrity, duty, loyalty and most of all love of family.
