I w Firstly, I believe most of us set ou looking for the quick fix. We conf ourselves; most of us spend more break than our future well being than financial management yet s ourselves. Some of us have however realize investment advisor or insurance again often not having given due and how each affects the other. B you may have achieved a good RRSP plan, but not given any thought to adequate insurance coverage or paying down the mortgage. I am a strong advocate of financial planning as it is the one discipline that considers all aspects of your financial situation and the development of a plan to suit your individual and family needs. Once an overall plan has been put in place the role of the specialist can be better defined whether it be investing, insurance, debt consolidation or estate planning. Having dealt with literally hundreds of clients over the years has confirmed my belief that the only sure path to success is to have a holistic plan. Sounds simple enough, but is rarely achieved. As a professional financial planner I start off by challenging clients to really think about their lives in a way that they have not before. I have developed a number of tools, including a questionnaire, which challenges clients to rate themselves and articulate future life aspirations. In the simplest terms, our lives can be divided into five categories; financial, health, relationships, adventure and spiritual. While these are obviously interconnected, each one is distinct and should be considered separately. I then focus on incorporating the financial planning that is needed to allow them to achieve `true wealth' which is not so much about the money as it is about contentment in our lives, finding that elusive happiness by realizing our wonderful dreams. I helped launch TriDelta Financial Partners, a fee based holistic financial planning company. We do things a little differently and are proud of it. We look at your lifestyle and get you involved to clarify your priorities before we start on a financial plan. We offer independent advice and solutions. We ensure that our advice is unbiased, because there is no difference in our compensation from one product versus another. Our planning is also all about the big picture and we focus on finding the right balance between all the aspects of your financial life investing, protection (insurance), debt and cash flow management to achieve your goals. We are part of a new breed of financial boutiques whose growth is being spurred by clients looking for better value than they get from their bank. Anton Tucker, CFP, FMA, FCSI is Vice President at TriDelta Financial Partners Inc. TYKES GO THE LIMIT: The Oakville tyke AA Rangers went to the limit in their Tri-County championship series before falling to Guelph in the decisive game. Oakville, which qualified for the finals with a 6-3-1 record in the playoff round-robin, jumped to an early 3-0 lead in the first-to-four-points series. However, Guelph rallied to win the next two games, including a 7-4 decision in the series finale last weekend at Oakville Arena. Brett Goold scored twice and Scotty McLaren added a single for Oakville in the opening game, a 3-3 draw. Spencer McLean, Kyle Kennery, Goold and McLaren were the Rangers' SATURDAY, APRIL 7TH, 2007 sharpshooters in Oakville's 4-3 win in Game 2.
