The indicator, which was announced by Mayor Rob Burton at his quarterly Mayor's Business Breakfast held Thursday, tracks the Mayor's Oakville Stock Index as well as the value of building permits issued and Ontario's real growth forecast GDP. The Mayor's Oakville Stock Index monitors major Oakville companies, which are weighted by employment. The growth in the Mayor's Oakville Stock Index is up 25 per cent year over year, just outpacing the S&P/TSX at 22 per cent, reported Burton at the meeting. "Clearly investing in Oakville is a good choice," said the mayor as he revealed details of his index. "This council and I recognize that a strong local economy is key to creating the most livable town in Canada." Oakville Town and Regional P A AN BAY CUSTOM INGROUND POOLS "Your Pool ...Our Reputation" "Clearly investing in Oakville is a good choice."
