The Oakville resident heard a "loud metal clang" outside his house on Saturday morning. "When I went outside, I saw this metre-long steel pipe, or bar, just outside my garage," Nicholls said. "I noticed that my roof had been ripped, and there were gouges in the concrete of the driveway. Another chip of wood had been taken off the under side of the roof." Since the pipe made dents in his concrete driveway, Nicholls concluded it dropped from "It must have fallen from a plane. I can't think of where else a steel pipe like this would have come from."
