The forum is designed for community professionals who work in the area of identifying and treating PPMD. The day-long forum is for community professionals rather than the general public or those experiencing PPMD. The forum to be held at Halton Region will see those community professionals attending assist in contributing to the establishment of Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing, University of Toronto, on the topic of the effect of peer support offered over the telephone to highrisk mothers. Dr. Wendy Sword, Associate Dean (Research) and Associate Professor, McMaster University, will speak on women's experiences seeking care for postpartum depression. Stephanie Bissell, a social worker with the Women's Health Concerns Clinic at Hamilton's St. Joseph's Hospital, will outline her clinic's approach to, and treatment of, women with PPMD.
