On Nov. 3, some 600 guests are expected to wine, dine and dance to the music of a new band called Manhattan, and be enthralled by a live adagio dance performance. Emcee and auctioneer Don Stewart, who is senior development officer at Appleby College, will lead the way through the evening and stir excitement for a wide array of live auction items. "While the 16th OTMH Candlelight Ball will be one of the top events in Oakville this year, let's not forget why we are coming together," said Mueller. "Proceeds from the OTMH Candlelight Ball will be used to purchase urgently-needed equipment for our community hospital -- equipment that government funding does not pay for." With more than 12,000 procedures per year in a wide variety of specialties, OTMH has a very busy surgical department. High-tech equipment, scopes and monitors are not top of mind for patients being wheeled into surgery, but they are the things that enable the OTMH surgeons to deliver the highest quality care for each of the procedures they perform each year. "Our aim is to invest in the innovative equipment that can make operations more accurate, less invasive and less painful than ever before," said Mueller.
