www.oakvillebeaver.com The Oakville Beaver, Friday November 2, 2007 - 19 Art show to help fund chapel building An art show opening tonight at the St. Volodymyr Cultural Centre will see proceeds go to the St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral's chapel building fund. The exhibition will feature more than 50 artists showcasing their work, which includes everything from paintings and sculptures to pottery and jewellery. Many of the contributing artists are Ukrainian, and works from artists living in the Ukraine have been imported for the show. The opening tonight runs from 7:30 - 10 p.m. The show continues on Saturday, Nov. 3 from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 4 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. St. Volodymyr Cultural Centre is located at 1280 Dundas St. W. Next to the centre is where the local parish plans to build a chapel. The fundraising campaign has begun and the expectation is for the building of the chapel to be finished in 2008.
