It aims to create and support an Ontario-wide youthdriven network to promote mental health and advocate for a system that best meets the mental health needs of children and youth. A key outcome is for youth engagement to become ongoing, sustainable and embedded into agencies, associations, networks, and policy processes. Successful development of an effective child and youth mental health system requires a sustainable youth voice working towards positive changes that are significant to youth. In Halton the New Mentality in partnership with Reach Out Centre for Kids (ROCK) seeks to engage youth around the issue of mental health. The New Mentality Halton is currently recruiting youth ages 13-25 to participate as volunteers. They are looking for volunteers who are interested in the issue of mental health who want to: decrease stigma, increase awareness and foster adult-youth partnerships.
