Gypsy Moth Workshop Saturday, April 5, 2008, 12 ­ 2 p.m. Following the April 5 meeting, the Town of Oakville and Bronte Creek Provincial Park will host a free Gypsy Moth Workshop for residents and private woodland owners on ways to control the insect. Return transportation will be provided from Central Operations to the workshop site at Bronte Creek Provincial Park. Lunch will also provided, however seating is limited and registration is required. Pine Glen Park is located at the southeast corner of Pine Glen Road and Third Line (south of Dundas Street). Information from this meeting, along with the proposed Request for Proposal process will be presented to Council at its meeting of May 5, 2008, at which time Council will make a decision on this project. Residents are encouraged to visit the Town's website at www.oakville.ca to view the reports and presentation materials presented at the Community Services Committee of March 18, 2008, as well as future updates regarding this initiative. NOTICE OF PUBLIC WORKSHOP Uptown Core Study April 17, 2008 ­ 7 ­ 9 p.m. Town Hall, 1225 Trafalgar Road, South Atrium File: 42.15.35 You are invited to attend and provide input at this public workshop for land owners and neighboring residents to discuss the preliminary analysis of the Uptown Core as it relates to land use, infrastructure, urban design and transportation. Input gathered from this interim meeting will be used in the final report with recommendations on new Official Plan and transportation policies, future infrastructure improvements, and implementation mechanisms that will guide future land use and development processes. The primary study area covers the portion of the Uptown Core west of Trafalgar Road. It includes the lands bounded by Trafalgar Road, Dundas Street, Sixth Line and Glenashton Drive.
