www.oakvillebeaver.com The Oakville Beaver, Wednesday April 2, 2008 - 19 Poetry Month readings at Chapters Poetry Month in Oakville kicks off on Friday, April 4 with the first in a series of Friday night poetry readings at Chapters. The readings will take place from 7-9 p.m. at the book store housed in the mall located at Dorval Drive and North Service Road. Poets reading on Friday, will be from The Pelicans and will include Liz Benneian, Linda Cassidy, Josie di SciascioAndrews, Elka Enola, Tom Scott and Jovan Vuksanovich. On Friday, April 11, the poets reading will be from The Ontario Poetry Society (TOPS). On Friday, April 18, the poets will hail from The Inkwell and on Friday, April 25 they will be from The Canadian Federation of Poets. From 7-8 p.m. the poets representing these groups will read their poems. The second hour will offer an open mic, when members of the public can read their poetry, usually in three-minute slots.
