Included in Festival and Events Ontario's new Top 100 list, the Oakville Waterfront Festival is renowned for its first-class musical entertainment and its action-packed family activities. Each year, Coronation Park comes alive with a weekend full of entertainment the whole family can enjoy. Concerts, craft show, children's village, theme park, beer garden, community performers, dog show and the spectacular fireworks will all return this year along with new events in honour of Family Day. There have been some changes to the ticket pricing structure this year, but you still get the same great value of unlimited re-entry all weekend long. Tickets at the gate during the Festival cost $15 each. Children three and under get in for free. You'll save $2 if you purchase your tickets in advance, on the website, at Shoppers Drug Mart, or at most Oakville banks, and you get an even greater deal if you purchase for the entire family or friends at once. When you buy five or more tickets in advance, they are just $11 each. That's a $20 savings when you purchase five tickets. But you must buy in advance to get it. All tickets cost $15 at the gate. Advance tickets are on sale mid-May until close of business day on Thursday, June 19. Individual tickets are issued at the banks, and can be printed from the website. A single family pass is issued at Shoppers Drug Mart ­ convenient if your party is all coming together. There have been some changes to the buses also this year, but you still get the same great convenience. Park at Sheridan College, Oakville GO or Bronte GO stations, and hop on one of the free Festival shuttles that operate continuously throughout Festival weekend. Oakville Transit also operates regular buses at regular Transit rates all weekend long, making it easy for everyone to get to the action.
