Eliasz Januckowski, 82, went missing the afternoon of April 24. Members of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a call on April 26 in the area of Bell Fountain, Ontario where owners of a rural farm had located Januckowski with his vehicle on a private farm road. Initial investigation reveals that the missing man may have become disoriented and driven onto the property, where his vehicle became stuck. Januckowski was transported to the Headwater Health Centre in Orangeville as a precaution. He was reported in good health when found. Driver charged in skateboard accident A 17-year-old Oakville man has been charged with careless driving following an investigation into an accident involving a vehicle and a skateboarder. On April 19 at 1:37 p.m., emergency services responded to the area of Sixth Line and River Oaks Boulevard in Oakville after a 16-year-old male who was skateboarding was struck by a motor vehicle. The victim was treated at Hamilton General Hospital and was released. The teen received stitches and abrasions to his left knee. He also suffered lacerations around his right ear, a concussion and a broken finger. A police investigation revealed that the driver of the 2008 Honda CRV was travelling northbound on Sixth Line, north of River Oaks Boulevard. The vehicle veered into the dedicated bicycle lane and struck the victim, who was on a skateboard. The victim was traveling southbound on Sixth Line in the dedicated bicycle lane. The Honda CRV driver applied his brakes and swerved, but still struck the skateboarder. Police determined that the driver of the Honda CRV was exceeding the posted speed limit of 50 km/h prior to the impact. The male driver and the 18-year-old male passenger of the 2008 Honda CRV were uninjured. NEED HELP!
