PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING May 29, 2008 ­ 6 ­ 8 p.m. Sir John Colborne Recreation Centre 1565 Lakeshore Road, Oakville The Town of Oakville is proposing to reconstruct Third Line between Lakeshore Road and Rebecca Street. Interested members of the public, local business community and agencies are encouraged to attend this Public Information Meeting (PIM) which is being held to seek public comment and input on the project. Information pertaining to the proposed design will be on display and members of the project team will be on hand to discuss any issues/concerns you may have. Hatch Mott MacDonald has been retained by the Town to undertake the detailed design work for this project. The subject road improvement has been identified in Oakville's 2007 Transportation Master Plan which establishes transportation infrastructure improvements to the year 2021. It is proposed to reconstruct the existing road to a two-lane urban roadway with bike lanes inclusive of the following: New traffic signals at the intersection of Third line and Hixon Street, improvements The project will follow the planning and design process for Schedule A+ (pre-approved with public notification) projects as outlined in the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment, 2007 document.
