On June 20, 21 and 22 in Coronation Park, the Oakville Waterfront Festival boasts activities that appeal to young and old. That is the case this year more than ever, as Whole Foods Market Family Day is Sunday, June 22. Start your day with a pancake breakfast at the Sleeman Patio and enjoy great family entertainment on the community stage. At 10 a.m. bring everyone out to the GardenSmart tent for a garden planting excursion with gardening expert Paul Heydon. At 11 a.m. enjoy a special magic-ofscience show at the Science North booth in the Children's Village. At noon meet the occupants at Reptilia Reptile Zoo up close and per- sonal. At 2 p.m., the fun begins in front of the Waterfront Stage as the Majinx Carnival of Wonders gets underway. Featuring a magic workshop, champion pizza tosser, drumming circle, crazy characters, and a complete stage show, it promises to be great fun sure to amaze everyone. All the while, there's a great payone-price special for the rides at the theme park from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. All this (with the exception of theme park and refreshments) is included in the price of admission. If purchased in advance, tickets cost just $13 each, or $11 each when you buy five or more. Children three years and under get in free. And, you can come and go all weekend. Tickets can be purchased now at any Shoppers Drug Mart, most Oakville banks, or online at www.oakvillefestival.com. After June 19, tickets cost $15 each at the gate. Also great for families, Oakville Transit operates free shuttle bus service at Sheridan College, Oakville GO Station and Bronte GO Station to and from the festival all weekend. Regular fares apply to all other bus service during the weekend.
