Steven was the cherished son of Jayne (nee Smuck) and Michel Hamel of Oakville and the loving brother and best friend of Michael and Scott. He is survived by his grandfather Georges Hamel and predeceased by grandparents Jaqueline Hamel and George and Margaret Smuck. He was the adored nephew of Gilles, Lilliane, Louise, Andres, Guy, Lynne, Barbara, Peter, Rejane, Nancy, John, Sue and Bob. Steven was the sensational cousin of Eric, Yves, Steve, Josee, Karrine, Jeremy, Patrick, Mario, Sarah, Peter, Christopher, Ryan, Bradley, Laura, Robert, Ayden and Anthony. Steven was blessed with a wonderful zest for life and a gift for being loved by all who knew him. His smile would light up any room and his glass was always half full.
