Getting to your favourite Oakville destination has never been easier. Route 22 This route will now offer Saturday service, including connections to the Bronte GO Station. Route 24 This route will see an increase to service on Saturdays to every 30 minutes. Route 200 This route will offer more rush - hour trips starting in July, with a move to all day service in September, 2008. Route 32 A brand new route providing service seven days a week to the new Rio Can shopping and Silver City entertainment area near Burloak and the QEW beginning July 6, 2008. New Bike Racks There is no cost to "pedal power"... Oakville Transit buses are now equipped so you can take your bike with you! Bike racks have been mounted to the front of over 50 buses - so they are available on all routes Monday to Friday*, Saturday, Sundays and Holidays! The bike racks are easy to use and make it the perfect way to travel smart. Watch for Bike Rack workshops coming this July. *from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., and evenings. New Terminal There is a new transit terminal in town! The new Uptown Core transit terminal is open and ready for you. Located at Taunton Road and Oak Walk Drive, near the corner of Trafalgar Road and Dundas Street, this terminal is a connection point for the five bus routes, 19, 20, 29, 30 and 200, that currently serve the Uptown Core. Upon completion of the second phase, the terminal will also become a hub for buses making connections from other municipalities with additional bus bays and public amenities being added. Transit schedules for those routes serving the Uptown Core can be found on Oakville Transit's website. New Fares Effective July 1, 2008 Oakville Transit's new fares will ensure improved service to routes across the town.
