www.oakvillebeaver.com The Oakville Beaver, Friday August 1, 2008 - 25 Take an audio tour of Bronte Creek Provincial Park For the first time at Ontario Parks, including Bronte Creek Provincial Park, you can now borrow an MP3 player pre-loaded with trail guide information. Bronte Creek Provincial Park is encouraging visitors to get active with this new audio tour system made possible through a grant from the Ministry of Health's promotion Communities in Action Fund. Visitors sign out an MP3 Audio Tour system from the staff at Spruce Lane Farmhouse. Then, they can follow the MP3 instructions to navigate to each recorded track as they arrive at each point of interest. It means you can walk at your own pace, take a break and resume the tour when you want. The audio tour system is reducing the need for paper that has been used in traditional trail guides. It is appealing for families and youths as the MP3 speakers allow small groups to listen to one MP3 player. Currently Half Moon Valley Trail and Spruce Lane Farmhouse audio tours are available. Anyone can use the MP3 player system and if they are not familiar, park staff will provide instructions. The MP3 audio tracks are also available for download from www.OntarioParks.com and more audio guide tours will be added.
