JENNINGS, Ian Leslie- Resident of Oakville and previously 5th Line near Campbellville, passed away peacefully on the morning of 31 July 2008 at Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, one month before his 93rd birthday. Born August 31, 1915 in Toronto, Ian leaves behind his beloved wife Sarah (Oakville), sons Tony (Georgetown), Doug (Sooke, B.C.), James (Luxembourg), Micheil (Mississauga) and Fraser (Ottawa), as well as daughters-in-law Maria, Bev, Lisa and Erin, grand-children Tim (Truly), Kate (Bernd), Christopher, Derek, Ainsley, Cassandra, Andrew, Jamie, Robyn and Brooke, and great-grandchild Zachary. 'Uncle Ian' also leaves behind nephews, nieces and other relations too numerous to mention, for whom he was a much respected elder representative of the 'Jennings clan' across Canada and beyond. Ian was latterly active in the Oakville Golf Club, the Oakville Club, Oakville Probus and R&R clubs, and the Oakville Lawn Bowling Club. Family, friends and colleagues are invited to gather in celebration of Ian's fine and generous life, commencing at 2:00pm on August 28th at the Oakville Golf Club (1154 Sixth Line). Any donations should go to the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, to whom we owe our greatest thanks for his care, or to Toronto's Rosedale United Church.
