www.oakvillebeaver.com The Oakville Beaver, Friday September 5, 2008 - 25 Armed robber broke into bank Halton police are investigating an Aug. 29 break in and armed robbery at the TD Canada Trust branch at 2221 Lakeshore Rd. W. Shortly before midnight, armed security guards entered the bank to refill the ATM machine and were confronted by a lone male armed with a semi-automatic pistol. The suspect demanded cash from the guards and received an undisclosed amount of cash. The thief fled on foot to a parked car near Hixon Street. Further investigation determined the thief had broken into the bank through a rear door and was waiting inside the bank. The suspect was masked with a balaclava and ski-type goggles, wore gloves and dark clothing. Neither of the two security guards was injured. If you have any information that leads to an arrest in this or any other matter, you may be eligible for a cash reward. You will never have to give your name or testify in court. Halton-Hamilton Source Protection Committee PROPOSED Terms of Reference The Province responded to the contaminated Walkerton water supply incident by establishing the Clean Water Act, 2006 and creating the Halton-Hamilton Source Protection Committee and other similar committees throughout Ontario. The Halton-Hamilton Source Protection Committee is required to develop a Terms of Reference which guides the work to be done for its Assessment Report and Source Protection Plan and includes a work plan and budget. The Terms of Reference must be completed by October 20, 2008 as required by regulation under the Clean Water Act, 2006.
