"I'm hoping to do this every Saturday morning all over Oakville, since the response is so great," he said. "I'd like people to join me, if they are interested. It is something very simple and something that everyone can do, but it is a lesson in patience." "Sometimes I feel guilty when people watch me because it isn't an instant process," he continued. "Everyone is watching and sometimes it will take me 20 to 30 minutes while I place small stone on a larger stone. I feel like I should be giving them more of a show, but that is not how it works." As a result of his overnight fame, the Oakville man is developing a website that will feature photos of his work, as well as upcoming dates and locations where people can join him in creating. He is also researching a way to make his creations more permanent, with the hopes of selling them. He said many admirers have requested their own stone sculptures to decorate their private spaces. "I've had people asking about doing this for their gardens, so I'm researching ways to make them permanent," he said. While some community sleuths expressed disappointment that his sculptures created two weeks ago did not last longer, Ruminski said it is actually part of the art form. "Some last a few minutes, while others last a month, depending on the stones and the conditions," he said. "This is really a lesson in impermanence -- basically the fact that nothing we do in the world will last any extended time. "To comes to terms with that, here is this nice little thing, and it will maybe last a minute, but you saw it and enjoyed it, and that is all you can hope for." $ 389.00 JERSEY BOYS $ 259.00 p.p.
