Gary McLean has volunteered to spend time in a makeshift jail at the mall's indoor courtyard with some local politicians, area businessmen and staff from a number of high schools to help Crime Stoppers raise money. McLean, a sales representative for Royal LePage on the North Service Road, has circulated a poster via e-mail to company colleagues pleading for donations to help with his bail. Others volunteering as jailbirds at the event, which begins 2 p.m. Friday, are Oakville MPP Kevin Flynn, Halton Police Chief Gary Crowell, the mall's manager Rodney Fairborn and Jay Lockwood, the owner of J. Lockwood Chrysler. There is still opportunity for business leaders in the community to volunteer to spend a bit of time behind bars at the mall in support of Halton Crime Stoppers.
