Oakville finished second in its pool in round-robin play, then upset the Brampton Batallion 2-1 in the semifinals. The Rangers' dreams of advancing to the International Silver Stick tournament were ended with a 6-4 loss to the Cobourg Jr. Cougars in the final. "To finish as finalists in this tournament is an accomplishment in itself. We have won two tournaments this year, finished second in the Silver Stick qualifier and are currently tied for first place in our division," noted Rangers parent Jim Franko.
