The annual awards are presented in partnership by the Oakville Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Oakville West. "This is the 14th year we have partnered with the Rotary Club to present the awards. The OABEs are a great opportunity to recognize some outstanding Oakville businesses and the contributions they make to the quality of life we enjoy here in Oakville," said Aby Alameddine, chair of the Oakville Chamber of Commerce Board. "In addition to recognizing excellence in the Oakville business community, the awards fund scholarships and bursaries for local students. To date, we have raised more than $300,000," said Greg Duffy, a Rotarian and chair of the OABE Committee. Award winners will be announced at a gala dinner that will be attended by more than 350 business and community leaders on April 2. There are 52 nominees in six categories: Entrepreneur of the Year, Restaurateur of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Large Business of the Year, Service Provider of the Year and Environmental Leadership Business of the Year.
