Use your GreenCart Ensure the following items do not go in the GreenCart as they will not compost: X Glass bottles and jars (place in your Blue Box) X Clear plastic "clamshell" containers (place in your garbage) X Plastic shopping bags, including ones that say "oxo-degradable" (take back to the grocery the garbage) X Clear plastic fruit & vegetable baggies (place in your garbage) GreenCart Acceptable Materials Bread, toast, cereal, baked goods & pizza Cake, cookies, Coffee grounds Dairy products, cheese & yogurt candies teabags (no containers) (including bones) Pasta, couscous, potatoes, rice, oatmeal, Soiled paper towels, facial tissues, paper towel rolls and toilet paper rolls Fruit Vegetables, corn Sauces, mayonnaise, cobs & husks, salad dressing, syrups, nuts & shells, peanut butter, jams & pumpkins & jellies (no containers) salads Fats & oils, lard, Soiled paper food packaging, popcorn bags, gravy, butter & margarine cardboard egg cartons, (no containers) greasy pizza liners, paper plates & cups, cardboard take-out food trays and containers Hair, pet hair, feathers, nail clippings and dryer lint Eggs & egg shells Houseplants GreenCart Acceptable Liners It's up to you whether you line your GreenCart or not.
