The game, hosted by Abbey Park's Grade 11 Leadership and Peer Support class, was to raise money towards the painting of a wall in Abbey Park's gymnasium to boost school spirit. The wall's design is to be chosen from submissions by students and teachers. There was no shortage of spirit at the game, as demonstrated by (top right) Trevor Engbers and no shortage of action on the field. At left, Raider Katie Ziegel clings to the ball before Eagles Katarina Pauksens and Rachel Chisholm tackle her to the ground, at right, Jodie Scoular takes off with the ball with St. Thomas Aquinas' Priscilla Ocran hot on her heels, but, as seen below, Scoular has her work cut out for her. In addition to ticket sales to the game, food, drinks and Abbey Park blue spirit bandannas were on sale on game day.
