If you choose to line your GreenCart, here are the acceptable liners: per Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI) logo: Cleaning out your fridge? Ensure the following items do not go in the GreenCart as they will not compost: Bags that display the BPI logo are designed to compost quickly and safely when composted in a commercial composting facility. The following bags are not accepted and will not be collected: Glass bottles and jars (food goes in GreenCart; bottles/jars go in Blue Box) Clear plastic "clamshell" containers (food goes in GreenCart; plastic containers go in garbage) By excluding these plastic bags, we supply the composting compost product. purchased, visit www.halton.ca/waste.
