Bank robbery leads to crash By Dominik Kurek METROLAND PEEL MEDIA GROUP Two men who robbed an Oakville bank early yesterday afternoon crashed their getaway car into three other vehicles at Southdown Plaza in Clarkson while fleeing from police. One man has been arrested and police are hunting for another in the wake of the incident, which unfolded at 1:23 p.m. when two bandits, who claimed they were armed, held up the Scotia Bank at 525 Iroquois Shore Rd. The culprits fled the scene, with Halton Regional Police giving chase. The pursuit continued into Clarkson, where the fleeing vehicle collided with three others at the Truscott Dr./Southdown Rd. plaza. One man was arrested at the scene. Police are looking for another man, described as heavy-set, wearing a grey t-shirt and blue shorts. The crash also resulted in an oil spill, which brought fire crews to the scene. spirits.
