OAKVILLE BEAVER Friday, August 21, 2009 · 10 Smash and grab thieves hit Kerr Street businesses The Halton Regional Police Service is investigating break-ins to two local businesses in Oakville on Aug. 16. Just after 11 p.m. someone smashed the glass to the front door window of Tartan Fish and Chips, 579 Kerr St. Investigation revealed the cash register containing an undisclosed amount of cash was removed. Nothing else was taken. An empty cash tray was later found in the parking lot. While investigating that break-in, a second entry was discovered next door. The front glass window was smashed to Jyots Beauty Salon. A cash register drawer containing an undisclosed amount of cash was also stolen. Total loss and damage to both businesses are unknown at this time. If you have any information that leads to an arrest in this or any other matter, you may be eligible for a cash reward.
