Police said the incident took place at around 5 a.m. when the woman ran onto the railway tracks just as the westbound train was approaching. GO Transit services in the area were brought to a crawl for several hours as police attempted to determine exactly what happened. The tracks were eventually reopened at around 8 a.m. Police said that while the woman has been identified her name is not being released. Citizen's Manifesto author Canadian Club guest speaker Rudyard Griffiths, co-founder of the Dominion Institute, and author of Who We Are: A Citizen's Manifesto, is guest speaker at the Canadian Club of Oakville on Thursday. The Dominion Institute (www.dominion.ca) is a national charitable organization dedicated to creating active and informed citizens through greater knowledge and appreciation of the Canadian story. Griffiths will be speaking to a dinner audience at the Oakville Conference Centre, 2515 Wyecroft Rd.
