Baker (two), Larissa Ruiz, Meryn McCann and Conor Russell. The Dolphins' 11/12 girls' relay team added two more gold medals, setting two club records and earned top spot in the Canadian rankings in the process. Other OAK results That same weekend, OAK finished fifth at the Autumn Invitational, also in Etobicoke. Colleen Hayman and Wezley Wright led the charge for OAK with four medals each. Kevin Scaife, Jacqui Boyer, Chloe Lawson, Georgia Nelson and Bryanna Samuels all earned one gold. Most recently, several OAK members won medals at the Swim International 2009 meet in Brantford. Matthew Mac won a gold and five silver, while Mitchell Gour (two gold, one silver), Evan White (three silver) and Nicole Bullock (two silver, one bronze) were also multiple-medal winners. Adham Assaad added a gold for OAK. In other OAK news, Tera Van Beilen is currently racing for Canada on the FINA World Cup swimming circuit in Europe. She placed 16th in the 100m breaststroke and 18th in the 200m breaststroke at a competition in Stockholm, Sweden. Nearly 800 swimmers from across the province participated in the meet. Mack Darragh made the biggest splash of OAK swimmers at the Harvest meet, winning five gold and adding four silver. Julie Calvert and Annie Harrison earned two gold each, while Brody Dyson, Kent Kikot, Peter Serles, David Whiteside and Bridget Jordan all won one race apiece. Harrison set a club record in the 15-year-old girls' 100metre backstroke. Cameron Byrne, Mackenzie Martyn, Owen Scarrow, Chrissa McDonald and Marni Oldershaw also earned medals for OAK. Maggie Burns, Olivia Sbaraglia, Lauren Dixon and Sinead Russell accounted for 21 of the Dolphins' golds. Burns (seven gold, one silver) was named the top 13-year-old female at the meet, while Dixon (five gold, three silver, one bronze) was the top 14-year-old female. The 16-year-old Russell, fresh off competing in the world championships and Canada Games, won five gold and two silver. In senior, the Abbey Park Eagles fell 8-6 to the Christ the King Jaguars and the Loyola Hawks were blanked 23-0 by the M.M. Robinson Rams. In junior, Abbey Park dropped a 31-8 decision to the Georgetown Rebels and the Oakville Trafalgar Red Devils were downed 34-13 by Robinson. The Division 2 senior and junior finals will be contested Tuesday at Hamilton's Ivor Wynne Stadium. A pair of local teams is going after Halton titles today (Friday) at McMaster University's Ron Joyce Stadium. The Holy Trinity Titans seek their second straight junior Division 1 title when they clash with the Corpus Christi Longhorns at 10 a.m., while the Iroquois Ridge Trailblazers will face Corpus Christi in the senior Division 3 final at noon. It was also a rough week for Oakville's girls' basketball teams, two of which saw their OFSAA tournament dreams end with losses in provincial playdowns. The Loyola Hawks were denied a berth in the AAA provincial tournament with a 51-40 loss to Bishop Ryan, while the Holy Trinity Titans bowed out of the AAAA tourney playdowns with a 54-28 loss to St. Mary's. Nicole Garcia (17 points) and Ashara Cadogan (11 points) were the top scorers for Loyola, while Marti Killeen pulled down 10 rebounds. The St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders and King's Christian Collegiate Cavaliers were both scheduled to play OFSAA qualifying games yesterday (Thursday). Aquinas was home to Mississauga Ascension in an AA qualifier, while King's hosted Brampton Christian for the right to go to the A tournament. Those games finished after the Beaver's press deadline. Four local skaters crack top 10 at sectionals Oakville Skating Club member Jenna RollandMills narrowly missed out on qualifying for the 2010 BMO Skate Canada Eastern Challenge. Rolland-Mills placed fifth in the pre-juvenile ladies' division at the Central Ontario sectional figure skating championships, held earlier this month at River Oaks Recreation Centre. The top four finishers in each division advanced to the Eastern Challenge, scheduled for Dec. 2-6 at Mississauga's Hershey Centre. Three other local skaters finished in the top 10 at sectionals. Emma Mogus, representing the Milton Skating Club, finished sixth in the pre-juvenile ladies' division; Courtney Ann Pritchard, representing Woodbine Skating Club, finished seventh in the juvenile ladies' division; and Julia Mogus, representing Milton, was eighth in the juvenile ladies' division.
