"It's more a life than a training camp," Jenner said. "We're constantly together as a group." It has given her the chance to get to know some of the players she only knew as a number and name on the back of a Canadian sweater. "I'm playing with some of my heroes," Jenner said, "but when you get to know play- ers, they're just regular people when they get off the ice." On the ice, though, they are among the best players in the world. She recently helped Canada win the Four Nations Cup in Sweden with a decisive 5-1 win over their arch-rival, the United States, in the final. The Appleby College grad believes she's held her own. "I feel I've done pretty well," Jenner said. "I want to go out each game and do my best. I want to gain the respect of the coaches and the players and working the hardest that I can is how I'm going to do it."
