"He's given me advice about what to expect and everything he's told me is exactly what has happened." But as much as Arakgi is thrilled to be recognized for his work on special teams, it is not an award he hopes to win multiple times. He would like to earn a spot on the Lions' defensive unit as a safety. "Everyone who plays football wants to be in there playing offence or defence," he said. "I'd be lying if I said I was satisfied with my role but I know I have to pay my dues on special teams and sooner or later, they'll give me a shot. And that's OK. I'm young and I still have a lot to learn." Arakgi's chance may be coming, though. The Lions' top safety is Barron Miles, who led the league with eight interceptions. But at the age of 37, Miles has yet to commit to another season. Burlington native Tad Crawford is also ahead of Arakgi on the depth chart but if Miles does retire, it would provide an opening for Arakgi. If not he'll continue his make his mark anyway he can. "I'll give my best whatever I'm doing," he said. "As long as I feel like I'm contributing and my teammates think I'm doing my job, an award would just be the icing on the cake." Majors' Percy named to Team Ontario Oakville's Stuart Percy has been named to Team Ontario for the 2010 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge. The 16-year-old defenceman has one goal and six assists for in 22 games for the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors and has played well defensively, sporting a plus-1 rating. The Majors drafted Percy in the first round, 15th overall, of the Ontario Hockey League draft after he helped the Toronto Marlboros win the 2009 OHL Cup. Players were evaluated by Team Ontario staff over the past two months. "Selecting a team from the available talent pool in Ontario is always a difficult task," said Team Ontario Director of Operations Rob Kitamura. "I believe that the coaching staff and I have selected the 22 best players that will represent Ontario with pride and class." Team Ontario is the defending gold medalist at the tournament, which includes five regional teams from across Canada as well as five international teams -- Finland, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Russia and the United States. This year's tournament will be held in Timmins, Ont. from Dec. 29-Jan. 4. community notices Support Group Public Notice Do You have a Desire to Stop Drinking?
