The students and staff raised more than $3,700. COINS FOR HAITI: Grade 2 students at Holy Family School filled a water bottle full of coins in just four days to help earthquake victims in Haiti. Two students donated their "life savings," which they were keeping for a family trip to Disney World. A Grade 1 student sold popcorn to raise money for the Haiti relief effort. Students collected more than 100 boxes of donated items such as as toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, clothing, bedding, toiletries, candles, flashlights, non-perishable food items, household items and soft toys for the earthquake victims of Haiti. The supplies were shipped to Halifax, Nova Scotia where they will be transported by boat to Haiti.
