Police raid grow-op in Speers Road highrise Halton police are attempting to locate the residents of two apartment units, at the 41 Speers Rd. highrise, after police raids netted $580,000 in marijuana, but no suspects. Police executed Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrants Wednesday, following an investigation into a cannabis marijuana grow operation, which consisted of two separate apartment units in the highrise. Upon entry to the apartments, police said they found hundreds of marijuana plants in various stages of growth from clones (cut from the mother plant) to mature plants. Police said they also found a separate room used to manicure, dry and prepare the marijuana for sale. In total, police seized 934 marijuana plants, an additional 10 pounds of dried marijuana and $15,000 in marijuana growing equipment. No one was in the apartments when the raids took place and police are continuing their investigation to find them.
