One, Betty Goodwin: from the collection of Salah J. Bachir, is at the Gairloch Gardens location and Silent as Glue is at the Centennial Square location. The Goodwin exhibit features the late artist's work from the collection of Bachir, who is an avid art collector. Goodwin died two years ago, at the age of 85. The exhibit features more than 20 pieces in print, collages, assemblages, paintings and sculptures created by the artist. Goodwin was an artist for more than 40 years and in 2003 she was named an Officer of the Order of Canada. Over at Centennial Square, Oakville Galleries presents an exhibit of sculptures by Lynda Gammon, from Victoria, B.C., Matt Harle, from Beacon, NY, and Elspeth Pratt, from Vancouver, B.C. This is the first time the works of these three artists are being presented together. The Goodwin collection will be up until June 6 and the three artists' collection is on display until May 30.
