Walk With Jesus in May The Halton Catholic District School Board is planning an event for its senior students that will raise money and their self-awareness. The first annual Walk With Jesus is scheduled for Thursday, May 6, during Catholic Education Week (May 2-7). "The Walk With Jesus event is a part of our board's Focus on Faith initiative. The event will provide students the opportunity to demonstrate that we are all rooted in Christ as one Catholic community and will be an outward symbol of our distinctive Catholic values," stated a Catholic board news release. An opening liturgy will be held at Bronte Creek Provincial Park with participants then walking to nearby Corpus Christi Catholic Secondary School on Upper Middle Road in Burlington. Once there, an outdoor Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Gerard Bergie, Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Hamilton. Each of the Halton Catholic board's elementary schools will select 20 Grades 6-8 students to represent their school at Walk With Jesus; each secondary school will select 20 students to be there. Students will gather pledges for the walk with proceeds going to designated charities and programs supported by the Catholic board. 19 · Friday, April 9, 2010 OAKVILLE BEAVER · www.oakvillebeaver.com The Regional Municipality of Halton www.halton.ca NOTICE OF STUDY COMMENCEMENT Class Environmental Assessment Study Tremaine Road (Regional Road 22) Transportation Corridor Improvements Derry Road (Regional Road 7) to Britannia Road (Regional Road 6), Town of Milton PR-2675 Study Halton Region is initiating a Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) study to consider a wide range of options for transportation corridor improvements to satisfy future travel demands on Tremaine Road from Derry Road to Britannia Road in the Town of Milton. improvement alternatives will be examined as part of the study including widening of the COLLEGE-WIDE OPEN HOUSE We have been providing exceptional, full-day, early education programs for decades.
