Glenburnie School Grade 7 student Brayden Sampson will be heading to Washington D.C. this summer to attend the People to People World Leadership Forum. People to People International was founded by then U.S. president Dwight Eisenhower. Brayden, 12, who will be 13 at the time of the event, will be in Washington June 21-26. Once he gets there, he will be sequestered with the 200 other international children attending the forum with no access to his family or friends. Brayden was nominated by his school and accepted by People to People for his outstanding scholastic merit, civic involvement and leadership potential. He will visit and learn about places such as Capitol Hill, the Smithsonian Institution, Gettysburg, the National Museum of American History and more.
