www.oakvillebeaver.com · OAKVILLE BEAVER Thursday, June 3, 2010 · 16 OT robots get help from Ford test drive Here's a new one: car dealers handing out money for each person that test drives its cars. And that's exactly what some local Ford dealers are doing to help raise money for the Oakville Trafalgar High School's robotics team. Ford Motor Company of Canada along with Oak-Land Ford Lincoln Sales and Kennedy Ford Sales are hosting a Drive One 4 UR School fundraising event on June 12. The two dealers and the Ford company will donate $20 to the school, up to $6,000, for every participant that test drives one of its select Ford or Lincoln vehicles. The school's robotics team has an annual budget of about $20,000 which it has to fundraise. And to help out all a person has to do is test drive a car at the event at OT. The available cars will be the 2010 Ford models Taurus and Fusion Hybrid or Lincoln MKT. "We're excited to help raise money for Oakville Trafalgar High School and at the same time showcase our innovative lineup," said Rick Grainger, general sales manager at Kennedy Ford, in a news release. "It's important that students continue to have opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities, and we're very proud of our current vehicles." OT is located at 1460 Devon Rd.
