Young to compete at amateur nationals Oakville Trafalgar grad Michael Young will be one of 240 golfers competing for the 2010 Canadian Men's Amateur Championship next month in London. The four-round tournament, which runs Aug. 10-15 at London Hunt & Country Club, will feature top Canadian and international players. Oakville blasted the Panthers 27-0 at Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School, improving to 4-3-1 on the campaign and earning a share of fourth place in the 10-team rep league. Titans quarterback Marcus Membrere threw three touchdown passes in the rout, hooking up with Greg Piper, Matt DesVignes and Brendan McGlynn on those scoring strikes.
