Reconstruction of Speers Road from Bronte Road to 1.2 km Easterly Please be advised that the Town of Oakville and Regional Municipality of Halton are proceeding with the Reconstruction of Speers Road from Bronte Road to 1.2 km Easterly. The project will commence the week of October 18, 2010. The overall project consists of two stages of construction. The construction limits are illustrated in the attached drawing. The first stage involves constructing the new watermain along the Speers Road and it will be completed by January 2011. The second stage includes reconstructing the roadway to a three-lane urban cross-section with on-road bike lanes. The second stage will commence in April, 2011 and it will be completed by July, 2011. Speers Road will remain open for traffic throughout construction, however, from time-to-time, there may be traffic delays. Property accesses will be maintained all the time. Work will generally be scheduled Monday to Friday, however work on Saturday and Sunday may be required to complete this project within regulated time restrictions for work of this nature. Every effort will be made to keep disruptions to a minimum. Construction signs will be posted and the work site will be clearly delineated. Please exercise caution and obey all signs placed for your safety.
