Notice of zoning by-law passing Zoning by-law amendment Town wide - town initiated File: 42.03.84 Oakville Council passed Zoning By-law Amendment 2010-105 under Section 34, of the Planning Act, as amended on the 9th day of August, 2010. The purpose and effect of Zoning By-law Amendment 2010-105 is to enhance and strengthen the zoning and licensing by-laws to be consistent for regulating lodging houses. Council will also consider an exemption to licensing for those persons who reside in and own a home where there are no more than two lodging units. The proposed amendment improves the existing regulations and ensures greater clarity for addressing lodging issues, namely by adding definitions and updating the terminology used in the zoning and licensing by-laws.
