Oh No.....7-0! Seven Zero, Old Hero! Diane & Chris Larsen Celebrate 40 Years of Happily Married Life Diane (nee Rozwadowski) and Chris have been happily married for 40 years this Sunday. Originally from Red Rock and Nipigon Ontario the couple have lived in Oakville for the past 30 years. Diane and Chris thank their sons - Ryan (Collette Izzo) from Stoffeville and Trevor (Emily Goulden-Larsen) of Oakville and their 3 grandchildren Ethan 10, Hailie 7 and Jaime 2 for all their love. Hugs and Kisses. Cause for Paws 2010 Would like to thank all the donors, sponsors and volunteers in helping us raise over $60 thousand dollars at this year's Cause for Paws Party at Appleby College. With your efforts and contributions, the wonderful staff at the Oakville and Mil- ton Humane Society will have the re- sources to continue better care and rehabilitate neglected and abused ani- mals. Thanks Beverlie Rockliffe, Chair of Cause for Paws HOBBES, Herbert Robert (Bert) - Sadly, on Friday, August 13th, 2010, at 8:15 am, Herbert Robert (Bert) Hobbes quiet ly passed away at Oakvi l le Trafa lgar Memorial Hospital with his wife, Pamela, and their son, Peter, beside him. A remarkable man who came from humble beginnings left the family farm in South Africa at seventeen to serve with the South African Air Force in World War II with the 15th Bomber Squadron. Seven years in the service was followed by a long standing career as a Chief Radio Officer and Pilot in civil aviation. The wonder of flight was the magic that brought Pamela and Bert together in London, England, from where they began their incredible journey. From South Africa, to England, to finally Canada, theirs has been a flight that has soared with love for 62 years as husband and wife. A kinder, gentler, more thoughtful and wonderful person, husband, father and grandfather there could not be in his familys eyes. He will be missed as much as he was loved. Bert leaves behind his wife, Pamela, son Peter and his wife, Jennifer and their children, Carson and Sydney. A private family service will be held in Oakville. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation. God looked around the garden, and found an empty space. He then looked upon earth, and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you, and lifted you to rest. Gods garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, He knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never, get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb So he closed your weary eyelids, and whispered Peace be Thine It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you home. PEERS, Dr. Ann; Ed.D. M.Ed.
